Increasing environmental awareness in business life has given an opportunity to develop green human resource management practices. A positive corporate image created by GHRM encourages many employees and boosts their work engagement. GHRM practices make employees feel proud of their organization and create a values-based foundation for working in their current companies. In fact, organizations' internalized green dispositions, namely the alignment of organizational and employee values, can make their employees feel greater psychological ownership of their companies, leading to greater engagement as suggested by social identity theory.
