Camino

CAMINO – a path of walks, encounters, and experiences

Camino is a network of pilgrimage and walking routes connecting Europe's natural, cultural, and spiritual heritage. Although historically linked to the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, the Camino is increasingly experienced today as an opportunity for mindful walking, personal rhythm, and connecting with the landscape and local community.

In Croatia, the Camino is developing through a national network Croatia Trail, which connects regional routes and enables their mutual traceability, as well as continuing the walk towards neighbouring countries.

The path can be walked

  • organised – with a guide

  • independently – without a guide

depending on experience, preferences and mode of travel.

The True Colors travel agency offers two basic options for walking the Camino Međimurje route, with the possibility of thematic add-ons that enrich the walking experience but do not disrupt the basic Camino idea.

The Međimurje Way is part of the national network Croatia Trail You are spatially and thematically building upon:

  • Križevci – Aqua Isae Trail

  • Varaždin County Way

  • Podravina Way

By connecting these routes, including Camino Međimurje, a continuous pilgrimage route of northern Croatia, which through Međimurje further naturally connects with Walking routes in Slovenia and Hungary.

Package

The guided Camino Međimurje is intended for participants who wish to clear structure, group safety and expert route interpretation, without needing to plan logistics independently.
